A remembrance portrait for Nabra Hassanen.
(Tutorial piece by NumyUmy)
This tutorial took about seven hours to complete, but was well worth it! I'm very happy with the bone structure and the shading.
I've always loved learning about myth and legend. Recently I've been wanting to get better at digital painting, so started studying some art tutorials on Patreon. It seemed like the perfect time to start illustrating some stories about deities and heros in different cultures. There are a lot of variations on the story of Corn Mother, and I enjoyed looking at old photos of Hopi garb and hair to get inspiration for this picture.
I have several other deities lined up for this series.

My first portrait attempt after studying a tutorial. The collarbones, oddly enough, were some of my favorite parts to work on.
